About the role

Part‑time, permanent Elementary Instructional Assistant (Calendar 18A) at the Greer site. The position follows a 9‑month/year, 206‑day/year schedule (5 days per week) with a 6‑hour workday, Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–2:10 PM. Responsibilities

• Work with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs (mild/moderate needs).
• Run small groups and assist students in large groups in both Special Day Class and General Education settings.
• Support the teacher’s needs as directed.

Requirements

Applicants must pre‑qualify by submitting ONE of the following documents:

• [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (test date April 2005 to present; no other district’s exam accepted).
• [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• [C] Official transcripts showing completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units).
• [D] Proof of an A.A. degree or higher.
