Schedule
- 9-month school year (206 days/year)
- 5 days/week, Monday – Friday
- 6-hour work day, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Run small-group instruction
- Assist students in large-group settings, both in Special Day Class and General Education classrooms
- Support teacher needs in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs
- In some programs, operate district vehicles (valid California Class C Driver License required within 30 days of hire)
Requirements
- Any combination of experience and training that equips you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties
- Must attach one of the following to your application:
- [A] Passing score on SJUSD’s Proficiency Exam (April 2005 or later; no other district’s exam accepted)
- [B] Official passing score on the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
- [C] Official transcripts showing completion of two years of college (48 semester or 60 quarter units)
- [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher); foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency
