QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of two years of college, or two years of experience working with children in an instructional setting

PRIMARY FUNCTION

To assist the teacher in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment so that students may learn effectively.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in classroom activity planning
• Counsels children in working and playing harmoniously with other children
• Helps maintain individual records for each child
• Aids in the supervision of children during regular play periods and lunch supervision
• Aids in the maintenance of neat work and study areas
• Assists with the supervision of children during regular play periods and lunch supervision
