Instructional Assistant

About the Role

Full-time, 10-month position available at Spring-Ford Area School District's 5/6th Grade Center. This position will be in Learning Support. Help support instruction by assisting students with remedial work, independent studies, specialized areas of need, and/or enrichment programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with remedial work, independent studies, specialized areas of need, and/or enrichment programs
• Support instruction in a Learning Support setting

Requirements

• Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: hold an Associate's degree or higher, or have earned at least 48 credits of post-secondary training, or have passed a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required
• Successful external applicants must submit current (dated less than 1 year from the start date) Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances and a Health Record & TB Test (dated less than 90 days from the start date) prior to beginning employment
