Responsibilities

• Inspects and observes facilities, staff, and operation of program.
• Performs on-site inspections and observations of facilities and program operations.
• Confers with operating staff and provides technical advice and guidance, and disseminates information.
• Investigates complaints and/or problems.
• Maintains record of, and renders reports on, visitations conducted and any actions taken.
• Handles substitute needs for staffing.
• Affords assistance and support to co-workers in screening potential applicants to work in program.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Possession of a Childcare Development Associate Credential (CDA) and/or a commitment to complete 15 hours of child care training each year.
• Maintain current First Aide/CPR/AED certification (applicable coursework shall be included in the 15-hour requirement).
• All training requirements must be completed within three (3) months of appointment start date; applicable coursework shall be included in the 15-hour requirement.
