Institutional Work Study Student - Assistant for Faculty

About the role

The Math department is seeking one Institutional Work Study student for 10 hours per week during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare class materials
• Grade papers
• Make copies and run errands
• Restock copy paper
• Clean tables
• Assist with course accessibility tasks such as adding alt text and formatting materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Dependable and responsible
• Available several days per week
• Comfortable using technology (basic computer usage)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Integrity
• Enough math understanding to effectively grade math assignments

Pay

$11.00 per hour

Background Check

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal and sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded.
