Job Summary
The Flint-School of Management is seeking a Student Program Assistant for the Hagerman Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The goal of the Center is to increase the University of Michigan-Flint community members', including potential student enrollees, such as local high school students, awareness of, and interest in, entrepreneurship and innovation. The Student Program Assistant will execute a wide range of activities related to the operation of the Hagerman Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in program management, event coordination, and digital marketing. This is a temporary, part-time position for approximately 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and leading presentations: assist with and deliver presentations to generate interest in programs. Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to campus and surrounding areas.
- Rating competition submissions: review and evaluate competition entries based on established criteria. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Media & marketing: assist with the creation of social content and marketing materials. Manage email campaigns and track metrics for improving future performance.
- Event assistance: support the planning and execution of events, including workshops and competitions. Help with day-of event setup, registration, and coordination.
- Miscellaneous tasks: perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and scheduling. Assist the Program Manager with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Michigan-Flint.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) and social media platforms.
