Inspector/Rewinder

About the role

This position contributes to the success of the company by ensuring a quality product is produced.

Responsibilities

• Perform rewind/inspection work: inspect all products as rewound off presses
• Absorb assistance in the set-up of finishing equipment
• Inspect finished products based on supplied specifications and standard quality criteria
• May stage raw materials for production on all presses
• Operates appropriate machinery which may include tier lift truck, handtruck, forklift, etc. to move, convey, hoist shipments to & from shipping & receiving platforms
• Attends mandatory training on that equipment
• Set up and Operate the Finishing Die Cutter, which involves placing rolls of raw material on a press to be cut to specifications
• Finished rolls (~30 lbs) are packaged on a pallet
• Package finished products based on supplied specifications and standard packaging criteria
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude
• Maintain competency with the tools, resources, and processes used in the daily work
• Abide by ID Technology safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications

• Regularly required to talk or hear
• Approximately 90% of the day standing
• About 80% of the day sitting and reaching with hands and arms
• Up to 70 - 75 pounds lifting and/or moving occasionally
• Up to 50 pounds lifting and/or moving regularly
• Regularly bending and twisting
