Inspector/Packer - 2nd shift or 3rd shift

About the role

The primary function of the Inspector/Packer is inspecting and packing bags to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality on product line.
• Inspect and pack quality bags into box/tote per bag specifications.
• Ensure that box/tote counts are accurate as per the bag specification.
• Uphold quality standards and report any suspect or defective product for review and decision.
• Work as a team with others assigned to machine, including helping operators as needed.
• Practice 5S, Good Housekeeping, and Machine Sanitation per company standards.
• Learn to pack all bag specifications and at all machines in production facility.
• Complete all documentation completely and accurately.
• Assist in the training of other Inspector/Packer personnel.
• Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.

• Pallet jack.

Work Environment

Manufacturing Plant. Climate Controlled.

Schedule

• Afternoon (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM)
• Night (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Pay

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour. Shift Premium Amount: $2.00.
