About the role

Clean Harbors is seeking Chemical Handlers to join our safety-focused team. This entry-level position offers opportunities for growth and development, with many of our leaders starting in this role. You’ll perform a variety of tasks while prioritizing health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Make waste pickups throughout a customer’s facility
• Conduct chemical bulking and consolidation
• Package and label waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance
• Participate in spill response on customer’s site as needed
• Operate forklifts
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles
• Complete waste stream sampling and profiling

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Grade 4 Industrial Wastewater License preferred
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical
