About the role
As The Kitchen’s Insights Analyst, you’re an expert in social listening who turns raw conversation data into clear, actionable insights. You run and maintain listening scans across brand, campaign, and newsroom topics, translating volume, sentiment, themes, and emerging conversations into meaningful takeaways: what’s happening, why it matters, and what to watch next. You identify cultural patterns and moments where the brand has a right to win, using those insights to inform briefs and creative decisions in collaboration with Strategy and Creative teams.
Responsibilities
- Social Listening: Monitor online conversations using social listening tools to measure sentiment, track volume, identify themes, and surface emerging topics. Translate raw data into actionable insights for the team.
- Technical Experience: Leverage major social media management or listening suites (e.g., Talkwalker, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer) to extract and apply insights effectively.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of digital media, culture, and emerging social platforms, exploring new ways to track and understand online conversations.
- Collaboration: Partner with Strategy and Creative teams to shape ideas based on real conversation patterns and listening insights. Contribute actively to briefs and the creative process.
- Brief & Stakeholder Partnership: Own the listening component of briefs, setting clear expectations about tool capabilities and educating stakeholders on scoping requests.
- Ideation: Contribute to the creative process by identifying cultural patterns and moments where brands can authentically participate, using insights to strengthen creative thinking.
- Reporting: Transform data into clear narratives, articulating what’s happening, why it matters, and what the team should consider or monitor next.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience in digital/social media, with a proven track record of insights that have driven responsive content or PR-planned ideas.
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest) and digital media targeting.
- Culturally connected, with a keen sense of online trends and audience behaviors.
- Technologically savvy, with experience using tools to mine insights and monitor social performance.
