Inside Sales Technical Specialist

Sell company products and services

• Process orders, price and delivery inquiries, provide technical and application information
• Solicit customer orders and suggest additional products
• Process and expedites orders, customer returns and returns to vendors
• Negotiate pricing and delivery with vendors when necessary

Customer Interaction

• Responds to customer inquiries
• Selects and specifies a variety of products using FCX and vendor supplied tools/software
• Reviews customer purchase orders for special conditions/documentation
• Ensures product availability and verifies ship dates
• Follows up with vendors to ensure timely delivery
• Works closely with Outside Salesman to solicit business and maintain customer service levels

Order Management

• Creates purchase orders
• Takes action on open items in open order reports
• Maximizes gross margin by ensuring superior service, problem solving, and technical expertise

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1-3+ years’ experience in Customer Service related Industry preferred
• Experience in an Inside Technical Sales/Customer Service/Application Engineer role with an Industrial Distributor a plus
