Inside Sales Specialist
Position Summary
The primary function of this position is to provide phone-based sales and customer support to increase sales and revenue for the Distribution Center. Inside Sales Specialists aid in the many support, coordination, and administration efforts necessary to service our customers. Daily functions will include taking and processing customer orders, processing quotes, and making outbound calls to new and current customers.
Essential Functions
- Acts as a key point of contact for various customer-facing activities such as sales quoting, managing orders and order confirmations.
- Able to be a Hunter and make outbound sales/cold calls.
- Builds relationships with new and existing customers.
- Develops deep product knowledge to assist and educate customers.
- "Fill Out Trucks" - Sell the whole package (accessories).
- Edits and advises customers on current market trends, changes, and challenges – become a trusted advisor.
- Acquires knowledge of the market conditions and competitive landscape. Uses this knowledge and customer relationships in dealing with competitive situations and negotiations.
- Sells at the highest possible price.
- Interacts daily with TSM strategizing on how to grow market share in their combined territories.
- Prepares & submits weekly Pulse Reports.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales making outbound sales/cold calls.
- Experience in the building products industry helpful.
- Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing practices, including communication with internal purchasing resources and external supplier contacts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft based software applications.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass drug test and background verifications.
