Responsibilities

  • Cook up the entire order process from time of order through delivery and shipping.
  • Collaborate closely with HosePower field representatives and customers to keep the conversation flowing about what’s available.
  • Keep freight costs in check by figuring out the best way to get things to their destination.
  • Handle customer service complaints and claims by being quick on your feet and solving problems efficiently.
  • Understand and explain product requirements to customers.
  • Scratch around for competitor info and spot trends.
  • Find new business by digging into potential accounts, calling on them, building relationships, and sharing product details.
  • Fill orders and let customers know when they can expect their stuff.
  • Look at what customers have bought before and suggest other products that might fit the bill.
  • Answer phones and deal with inquiries.
  • Qualifications

    • Experience in an industrial sales setting is a big plus, especially if you’ve been in the hose industry.
    • Great phone manners and problem-solving skills are a must-have.
    • Basic computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems like Microsoft Office are key.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills will help you connect with customers.
    • You need to be able to juggle lots of tasks and respond to customers quickly and efficiently.
    • Math skills are important too.
    • The ideal candidate is a team player, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
