About the role

We are hiring for an Inside Sales Associate / Production Operator position in Boise, ID. This is a full-time position with great pay and benefits. The position works Monday through Friday, with no weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted guide, advising customers on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to complete their projects.
  • Demonstrate equipment use to build customer confidence.
  • Manage order entry and assist with the reconciliation of deposits.
  • Coordinate with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery.
  • Contribute to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch.
  • Coordinate the transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Stock shelves and maintain welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience.
  • Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.
  • Manage and safely navigate equipment used for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.
  • Take ownership of all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests to ensure quality before cylinders are released.
  • Safeguard the condition of our cylinders – identifying those requiring maintenance or repair and ensuring they are cared for before returning to service.
  • Regularly monitor and maintain pumping apparatus along with associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices to ensure peak performance.
  • Maintain clear and accurate cylinder filling records, following all procedures to remain in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76-125 lbs., with the aid of material handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work overtime, when necessary.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
