About the role

The Inside Sales Representative position requires a strong knowledge of Special Metals products and the ability to meet or exceed customer expectations. This role provides moderate guidance and direction.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs and provide relevant solutions.
  • Handle customer traffic and ensure proper attention.
  • Analyze customer choices and financial capacities, suggesting suitable products.
  • Offer alternative products to customers based on their preferences.
  • Demonstrate product usage and resolve customer queries.
  • Close sales deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Call prospective customers, explain product details, and persuade them to purchase.
  • Achieve short-term sales targets and enhance the company’s goodwill.
  • Operate CRM systems and maintain accurate company information.
  • Maintain friendly relations with customers and manage ongoing customer interactions.
  • Manage a database of potential customers and contact them regularly.
  • Track customer suggestions and complaints and report them to the production department.
  • Research the market for new competitive products and competitor marketing strategies.
  • Record sales transactions and submit weekly reports to upper management.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships and partnerships, focusing on increasing market share.
  • Determine pricing strategies for competing bids from multiple customers.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Two to five years of proven inside sales experience required.

Special Skills

  • Expertise in CRM software and other common computer software like Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Impressive personality and ability to convince clients through attractive quotations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high confidence.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to be energetic.
  • Ability to multitask and handle conflicts.
  • Ability to analyze the market and target potential clients.

Physical Dimensions

The physical demands of this job include frequent stationary positions, occasional movement within the office, constant operation of computers and other office machinery, and minimal safety/health hazards.
