Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting
  • Identify and research target biotech, CDMO, and pharmaceutical companies
  • Possess the ability to build connections with QA, QC, CMC, Regulatory, and R&D stakeholders
  • Engage in outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn while measuring and reporting results
  • Qualify inbound leads from website inquiries and referrals
  • Schedule technical discovery calls for senior leadership or technical SMEs when required
  • Collaborate with scientific and quality SMEs to conduct discovery conversations to understand testing needs
  • Coordinate with laboratory and quality teams to develop proposed scopes of work
  • Prepare quotes and proposals in collaboration with operations and senior leadership
  • Follow up consistently to move opportunities through the pipeline, while providing feedback to the business focused on change and innovation to support market demands
  • Maintain accurate CRM records
  • Track and develop as necessary activity metrics (calls, meetings, quotes sent, win rate)
  • Provide weekly pipeline reports
  • Work with operations team to create visibility into forecasted revenue to establish standardized pipeline management

Qualifications

  • 2+ years inside sales experience
  • Experience selling into regulated or technical industries
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and motivated, with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable speaking with scientific and quality professionals
  • Self-directed and disciplined
  • Structured and process-oriented
  • Motivated by performance and growth
  • Professional and credible when speaking with scientists
  • Curious and comfortable learning technical subject matter
  • Ability to travel to Gillson Sciences lab locations throughout the US
