Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and research target biotech, CDMO, and pharmaceutical companies
- Possess the ability to build connections with QA, QC, CMC, Regulatory, and R&D stakeholders
- Engage in outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn while measuring and reporting results
- Qualify inbound leads from website inquiries and referrals
- Schedule technical discovery calls for senior leadership or technical SMEs when required
- Collaborate with scientific and quality SMEs to conduct discovery conversations to understand testing needs
- Coordinate with laboratory and quality teams to develop proposed scopes of work
- Prepare quotes and proposals in collaboration with operations and senior leadership
- Follow up consistently to move opportunities through the pipeline, while providing feedback to the business focused on change and innovation to support market demands
- Maintain accurate CRM records
- Track and develop as necessary activity metrics (calls, meetings, quotes sent, win rate)
- Provide weekly pipeline reports
- Work with operations team to create visibility into forecasted revenue to establish standardized pipeline management
Qualifications
- 2+ years inside sales experience
- Experience selling into regulated or technical industries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and motivated, with strong follow-through
- Comfortable speaking with scientific and quality professionals
- Self-directed and disciplined
- Structured and process-oriented
- Motivated by performance and growth
- Professional and credible when speaking with scientists
- Curious and comfortable learning technical subject matter
- Ability to travel to Gillson Sciences lab locations throughout the US
