Inside Sales Rep I
About the role
NextEra Energy Resources is one of America’s largest wholesale electricity generators, harnessing diverse energy sources to power progress. As a Sales Representative in our dynamic call center, your primary responsibility will be to proactively reach out to commercial prospects via cold calls and educate them on our energy services. You’ll receive thorough training and ongoing coaching to ensure success.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to commercial prospects.
- Deliver compelling, compliant sales pitches and effectively close sales over the phone.
- Learn and apply sales materials, scripts, and objection-handling techniques.
- Manage a pipeline of follow-up calls for leads not closed on the first call.
- Maintain accurate CRM records for all interactions and lead statuses.
- Enroll new customers, explaining pricing, contract terms, and services.
- Respond to customer emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Comply with industry regulations and company policies during every customer interaction.
- Adhere to our business casual dress code and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Be punctual and present for all scheduled shifts: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Qualifications
- B2B sales experience preferred
- Previous sales or call center experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Able to learn quickly, retain product knowledge, and apply it effectively.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a results-driven mentality and the ability to work independently
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage leads and sales pipelines
- Ability to understand complex business needs and tailor solutions accordingly
Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
Schedule
This job is responsible for selling products and services such as home security, satellite, cable, local/long distance phone service, internet, and warranty products to Business and Residential customers. Employees in this role are responsible for selling in an inbound sales call environment.
