Inside Partner Sales Manager
About the Role
The Inside Partner Sales Manager (IPSM) is responsible for engaging, educating, and enabling the assigned Indirect Channel Partners and Technology Solutions Distributors (TSDs) to promote and sell Comcast Business services. This role develops and implements strategies for marketing and selling the Comcast Business Solutions Portfolios through the indirect distribution channel. Remotely manages ongoing relationships with agent partners, drives revenue, and ensures partners position Comcast Business solutions effectively. This is an individual contributor role supporting partners in the central, mountain, and western regions of the U.S. with up to 25% travel annually.
Responsibilities
- Drive incremental monthly sales to meet or exceed budget objectives with 20-25 indirect channel partners in a given market or region.
- Remotely recruit, train, and support the partner community to position the entire suite of Comcast Business solutions.
- Serve as liaison to assigned channel partners concerning sales-related issues and escalations.
- Interact with local market leadership to discuss sales activities, strategies, and escalations.
- Collaborate with Partner Sales Managers and Directors on regional market initiatives and partner recruitment events.
- Exercise judgment and discretion in negotiating deal pricing with agents and partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales engineering and finance to provide exceptional client service.
- Educate partners on the Comcast Business portfolio and provide consultative guidance on solutions.
- Ensure consistent completion of product install by partnering with regions on survey, order acceptance, construction, and post-sale processes.
- Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel via Salesforce CRM.
- Maintain dependable attendance and schedule flexibility, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and varied hours as required.
- Contribute to organizational success by undertaking additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience managing indirect channel partner sales relationships.
- Keen knowledge of the telecommunications industry and I/P packet-switched technology.
- Understanding of data, voice, and video applications and Integrated Access Devices.
- Comprehension of WAN, CPE, and LAN architecture and topology.
- Knowledge of the OSI model with emphasis on layer 2 & 3 technology and construction necessary for diverse builds.
- Ability to build effective internal relationships with regional resources to support partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Technical skills related to commercial applications (routers and networking desired).
- Team player able to handle ambiguity and react quickly to changes (flexible with hours and duties).
- Ability to make decisions independently.
- Up to 25% national and regional travel annually.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or a combination of coursework and relevant professional experience.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
Pay
Base pay range: $73,125.00 - $84,375.00. In Colorado, the pay range is $73,125.00 - $88,392.86. Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
Targeted Commission: $45,000.00. Sales compensation programs offer significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve sales targets.
