About the Role

This position involves providing specialized wound care within a patient-centered clinical environment, requiring independent practice, strong clinical judgment, and accountability. The role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, with an emphasis on education, safety, and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with the interprofessional team and effective communication across care continuums are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with defined goals.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • BSN required or enrolled in a BSN program; WOCN/WO certification preferred but must be willing to obtain.
  • RN license required; no prior experience necessary, though less than 2 years of experience is preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical nursing skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, safety-sensitive practices, and effective communication.
