Inpatient Wound Ostomy Nurse (Full-Time) (Days)

About the role

This position involves providing specialized wound care within a patient-centered clinical environment, requiring independent practice with strong clinical judgment and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on managing illness, injury, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participate in professional development.
• Develop, document, and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team and patients/families.
• Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.

Requirements

• BSN required or currently enrolled in a BSN program.
• RN license required; WOCN/WO certification preferred but must be willing to obtain if not certified.
• Strong critical nursing skills, ability to work independently, and commitment to patient safety.
• Experience is not mandatory; less than 2 years of experience is acceptable.

Schedule

Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
