Inpatient Dialysis Nurse (Full-Time, Night Shift)

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a hospital's inpatient acute dialysis unit, utilizing advanced renal replacement therapies such as hemodialysis, CVVHDF, CVVHD, and others. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and collaboration with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. It requires assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, ensuring safety, and promoting quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Educating patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management
• Participating in safety and quality initiatives, professional development
• Assessing patient needs and preferences, considering emotional, cultural, and spiritual factors
• Developing and documenting care plans with clear goals and effective communication

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree with RN licensure
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two years of hospital RN experience, dialysis experience is a plus
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices
