Inpatient Dialysis Nurse (Full-Time, Night Shift)

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient acute dialysis unit, utilizing advanced nursing skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with renal failure. The RN will educate patients and families, promote safety and quality standards, and collaborate with an interprofessional team to develop individualized care plans that address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. This role is critical in delivering advanced renal therapies, such as hemodialysis and related treatments, in a top-ranked hospital environment committed to excellence in nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care, including education on illness management, medication, and post-treatment care.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, maintaining professional development.
• Develop and communicate comprehensive care plans, ensuring continuity across care settings.
• Assess patient needs, preferences, and barriers, respecting cultural and emotional factors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current RN license required.
• At least two years of hospital-based bedside RN experience preferred, with dialysis experience advantageous.
