Inpatient Acute Dialysis Nurse (Full-Time, Night Shift)

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient acute dialysis unit, focusing on renal replacement therapies such as hemodialysis and related procedures. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. The role promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and maintains communication across care settings. It requires critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient values and barriers. It is considered safety-sensitive, emphasizing alertness and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care planning
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized care
• Maintain documentation and communicate care plans effectively

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree with RN licensure
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of hospital-based RN experience; dialysis experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills
• Commitment to professional development and adherence to safety standards
