Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for an Inpatient Coder in Chicago, IL. This position offers a competitive salary range of $1787.00 to $1979.00 weekly for a 26-week assignment. The shift is 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts starting at 08:00.

About the Role

Responsible for accurately charting and coding patient encounters using the Epic system. This role requires 1 year of relevant experience and familiarity with ICD-10-CM and CPT codes.

Responsibilities

• Accurately chart and code patient encounters using Epic
• Ensure timely submission of claims to maximize reimbursement
• Review and update patient records as needed
• Comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience as an inpatient coder
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM and CPT codes
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Current certification as an Inpatient Coder preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
