About the role
In Saint Mary’s Hospital, our Behavioral Health Team brings a compassionate approach to meet the unique needs of our patients and their families. We treat various behavioral health conditions with dignity and respect by creating stigma-free environments that foster inclusion and high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing support for patients and their families as a catalyst for change and empowerment toward recovery from behavioral health conditions.
- Offer meaningful feedback to help our multidisciplinary team tailor treatment goals to individual needs.
- Educate and support patients and their families during behavioral health admission.
- Lead patient observations, milieu management, and address emergent needs to ensure safety and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college or university-affiliated nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
- BLS certification required.
- Behavioral/Psychiatric experience preferred.
Schedule
- Full-time, 36-hour day shift.
- Every other weekend and holiday.
