About the role

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and experienced Physiotherapist to become part of our small, friendly Physiotherapy team based in the Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing and delivering the Physiotherapy Service for in-patients, Western Isles Hospital and community patients in Lewis and Harris. The team includes Band 5 and Band 6 Physiotherapists, and Clinical Support Workers.

This is a challenging but rewarding role. We aim to improve the experience of patients both within the local hospital and in the community, shifting the balance of care from hospital to community settings by maintaining patients in their own home for as long as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and deliver the Physiotherapy Service for in-patients and community patients.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Support education within the team and related services.
  • Deliver inclusive, equitable care that respects individual needs and preferences.

Requirements

  • Well-organised and self-motivated with a flexible approach.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in leadership and service development.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Registration with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme) required for the successful applicant.

Pay

£52,845 - £61,466 per annum.

Schedule

36 hours per week. This post does not currently require weekend or on-call working.
