Inpatient Pharmacist Team Lead

Under the general guidance of the Inpatient Pharmacy Manager, provide operational and clinical pharmacy leadership within a specialty area at Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the Pharmacy provides optimal drug therapy to patients, focusing on proper drug selection, dose, route, duration of therapy, and cost effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate pharmacy programs to enhance the quality of existing services in the specialty area.
• Provide oversight and monitoring of clinical and operational pharmacy initiatives and services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize the delivery of care, ensuring compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, certification, and accreditation standards.
• Perform various required human resource functions.
• Serve as the Pharmacist-In-Charge, ensuring pharmacy operations conform to all laws pertinent to the practice of pharmacy, drug distribution, and supervision of pharmacy personnel.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2 years of work experience as a registered pharmacist.
• Current South Carolina Pharmacist License.
• Current BLS Certification (within 90 days of start date).
