Job Summary
As a Therapy Team Leader for Encompass Health, you will play a pivotal role in impacting your community by delivering care, support, and influential leadership, fostering inspiring patient outcomes. Your responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Therapy Operations in day-to-day operations of a therapy team or discipline.
- Delegate and supervise tasks of therapist assistants and technicians.
- Aid in staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and communications to provide adequate coverage for patient treatments.
- Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to ensure patient, staff, and hospital needs are met.
- Provide patient care in licensed discipline 80% - 90% of work hours.
- Create an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals.
- Convey the hospital mission to all staff, hold staff accountable for performance, motivate staff to improve performance, and be responsible for the operation of the department, to include measurement, assessment, and continuous improvement.
- Help staff improve their clinical skills and overall performance through staff development and mentoring.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Effective supervisory skills.
- Good communication skills for interdepartmental relationships.
- Competency in licensed discipline evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Ability to delegate tasks and manage a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A physical therapy license.
- At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- A bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or related field.
- Experience in a leadership role.

Pay & Schedule
The starting salary for this position is $104,000.
Schedule
This position typically provides patient care in licensed discipline 80% - 90% of work hours.
