Job Summary
The role of the Remote LTM Manager entails overseeing a team of remote LTM technologists and monitoring both live and recorded EEGs. This position also includes quality assurance, training, mentoring, and on-call shifts.
Monitoring & Coordinating Duties/Responsibilities
- Documents appropriately to meet industry standards and company policies
- Continuously monitor two to four patients at a time, detecting EEG abnormalities
- Maintain 3 shifts (12 hours) per week
- Assist with coordinator coverage as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Performs Quality Assurance
- Provides technical and clinical management of a team of 20-30 techs to ensure effective and efficient provision of quality diagnostic procedures following the established protocols
- Over monitors, pattern reviews of all patients, 12 hours per week scheduled
- Mentors new hires and is available for questions and troubleshooting during over monitoring shifts
- Participates in interviews, training, and incident report investigations
- Participates in 2-3 on-call shifts per week (following night shift schedule)
- Maintains a professional relationship with all customers
- Maintains the confidentiality of employees, patients, administration, and medical staff
- Travel as needed
Required Skills/Abilities
- Skilled in EEG pattern recognition to provide clinical descriptive information to clinical neurophysiologists demonstrating knowledge of normal and abnormal adult, pediatric, and neonatal EEG patterns
- Proficient in monitoring phase II Grid patients
- Proficient in ACNS terminology
- Competence in deciphering artifacts from cortical activity
- Proficient in operating/troubleshooting multiple EEG instruments and software
- Able to work from home - independently - without distraction in a HIPAA controlled environment
- Excellent computer skills and comfortable with technology
- Professional demeanor, able to interact well with hospital staff, neurologists, and other remote technologists
- Reliable high-speed internet and cell phone coverage required
Education and Experience
- Must hold current ABRET registration in Electroencephalography (R. EEGT)
- CLTM, preferred
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- Supervisory experience, 1 year preferred
- Minimum 2 years of remote monitoring experience, preferred
- Knowledge of Nihon Kohden, Cadwell, and Xltek EEG equipment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Repetitive motions that may include wrists, hands, and fingers
