Job Description
As a Cloud Network Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering, automating, and supporting enterprise cloud networking solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP. This role combines deep networking expertise with hands-on software development and Infrastructure as Code capabilities to enable secure, scalable, and repeatable cloud network deployments.
- Design, deploy, and support scalable, highly available, and secure network architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
- Develop, automate, and manage cloud network infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance across environments.
- Build and maintain automation solutions using Python and Ansible to streamline network provisioning, configuration management, operational tasks, and lifecycle management.
- Implement and manage multi-cloud and hybrid connectivity solutions to ensure seamless integration and communication between cloud platforms and on-premises data centers.
- Configure and manage cloud networking components, including VPCs/VNETs, subnets, routing, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateway, and cloud-native networking services.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration patterns to enable self-service and standardized cloud network deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, reliability, and security across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Conduct network performance testing and root-cause analysis to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and connectivity issues.
- Implement network security controls and best practices while ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cloud architects, platform engineers, developers, DevOps teams, and security stakeholders to deliver integrated cloud networking solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud networking, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and operational best practices.
- Document network architectures, automation workflows, deployment standards, and operational procedures to maintain accurate and current records.
- Continuously evaluate emerging cloud networking technologies, automation tools, and industry best practices to improve operational efficiency and platform maturity.
- Participate in capacity planning, resiliency design, and scaling initiatives to support growing cloud adoption and business demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud environments.
- Hands-on cloud networking experience with deep expertise in cloud-native networking services, including AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, GCP VPC, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, routing, and network security controls.
- Hands-on development and automation experience using Terraform, Python, and Ansible, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, workflow automation, and CI/CD integration.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining reusable Terraform modules, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices within enterprise environments.
- Experience building and managing hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity solutions, including VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect, and inter-cloud networking architectures.
- Experience monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting cloud network performance, availability, and security.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated infrastructure deployment practices.
- Experience integrating Terraform, Python, and Ansible into cloud platform engineering and network automation workflows.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure and connectivity issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working across engineering, architecture, security, and application teams.
- Practical experience with cloud-native networking technologies and modern network automation practices.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced Infrastructure Engineering and Platform Engineering teams operating within Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of independently driving complex technical initiatives.
