INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST I

About the role

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking an IT Specialist I to work in the Enterprise Testing Office (ETO). This position supports the EDD Disability Insurance program and systems, providing system solution testing exposure and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide testing services including system testing, performance testing, and automation testing.
• Maintain complex test environments and handle testing support functions such as data mining and data encryption.
• Support internal and external customers using EDD systems daily.
• Work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
• Apply business knowledge and technical experience to support EDD's testing needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a related field.
• Experience with testing software and systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with automation testing tools.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $7,163.00 - $9,599.00 B.
