About the role
The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking an IT Specialist I to work in the Enterprise Testing Office (ETO). This position supports the EDD Disability Insurance program and systems, providing system solution testing exposure and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide testing services including system testing, performance testing, and automation testing.
- Maintain complex test environments and handle testing support functions such as data mining and data encryption.
- Support internal and external customers using EDD systems daily.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Apply business knowledge and technical experience to support EDD's testing needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a related field.
- Experience with testing software and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in a related field.
- Experience with automation testing tools.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques.
Skills
- Proficiency in testing software and systems.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $7,163.00 - $9,599.00 B.
