About the role
Credence supports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)/IN at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The AFLCMC/IN mission involves engaging and supporting AFLCMC programs, projects, technology development, and planning efforts in areas like Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) supportability and adversary/threat considerations. The role requires support within SCIFs for DoD agencies, OSD, HQ USAF, and AFLCMC efforts.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for collateral, SCI, NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS activities.
- Manage IA and technical security for information systems, IT network administration, and support.
- Interface with local customers and provide IT-related support to resolve problems quickly.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Perform periodic maintenance, hardware upgrades, firmware updates, and system configuration changes.
- Manage data backup library, including storage of tapes, disks, and other magnetic media.
- Attend planning and requirements meetings with IT staff, program managers, analysts, and customers.
- Prepare system for operational use and support operational tests and inspections.
- Provide technical guidance, leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for AFLCMC/IN team members.
- Apply knowledge of current and older AF standard operating systems and server hardware/software.
- Work successfully in a dynamic environment and interact effectively with various personnel and industry partners.
- Assist with the acquisition and sustainment of IT systems and equipment.
- Assist with the security accreditation process and other IT certification processes.
- Support the operation of necessary IT systems to ensure standardized file structures and seamless file sharing.
- Advises and assists in the development of system security management plans, PPPs, security risk analyses, OPSEC plans, and other security documents.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field with ten years of experience, or
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 12 years of experience, or
- Fifteen years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoW/DoD.
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoW/DoD.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoW/DoD.
- Five years of experience in the DoW/DoD with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements.
- Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for IA Technician Level Two within six months of the date of hire.
Skills
- Knowledgeable of JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN 6/3, DCID/JAFAN 6/9, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards.
- Familiarity with security policy/manuals and the appropriate DCIDs/JAFANs and other guiding policy documents.
