Information Technology Project Manager

Scope of Work

Client Is Seeking a Qualified Individual To Provide Project Management For The Division Of Child Support.

Activities

• Leading the design, development, and implementation of various information system transformation projects.
• Providing strategic direction to the agency.
• Assisting with defining strategic direction of enterprise level IT implementations.
• Defining business and technological requirements by consulting with product owner, subject matter experts, and scrum teams to define business needs and objectives.
• Providing project management of highly complex large scale enterprise projects and smaller scale projects.
• Leading and coordinating efforts of development teams and vendors to ensure solutions are implemented successfully.
• Ensuring project governance and monitoring controls are in place.
• Ensuring project design, development, and implementation are on time and budget.
• Mentoring state personnel in project management and over time potentially train state resources to take over this function.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child support program policies, procedures, and business practices.
• Experience on child support system modernization projects.
• Successful experience managing information technology solutions.
• PMP certification or equivalent working experience.
• Knowledge of various software development methodologies (agile, waterfall, DevOps, etc.)
• Experience in successfully applying project management and project governance principles.

Pay

• The expected pay range for this position is $60.00-$70.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
• Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime.
• Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, 401(k) without employer match.
• Paid Sick leave is provided based on state or local laws.

Location: Remote (candidate will be available to travel to Pierre, South Dakota, on an as-need basis)
Duration: 12 months
