About the role
The U.S. Attorney's Office, Western District of Pennsylvania, seeks an Information Technology Specialist to provide support in areas such as customer support, IT systems/network administration, information systems security, internet, and litigation support.
Responsibilities
- Installs, configures, and upgrades commonly used hardware and software systems.
- Solves recurring software/hardware problems.
- Provides user training on routine hardware, software, and internet applications.
- Aids customers and clients in identifying and describing IT requirements for business and legal applications.
- Maintains and controls equipment inventories.
- Explains web page requirements to content developers.
- Maintains IT systems security documentation.
- Uses established procedures to manipulate and present data in various formats for use in litigation.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must pass a pre-employment adjudication including fingerprint, credit, and tax checks, and drug testing.
- Must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.
- May be required to complete a one-year probationary period.

Qualifications
- To qualify at the GS-09 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of the position being filled, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the likelihood to perform successfully the duties of the position.
