Primary purpose: a hands-on role responsible for managing all technology systems across the company, from day-to-day user implementation and support to long-term planning. As a department of one, this position handles network administration, cybersecurity, devices, software support, vendor relationships, and user training. The ideal candidate is resourceful, organized, and comfortable balancing strategic projects with rolling up their sleeves to solve issues in the field or office. Local candidates only.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures
  • Create an IT roadmap aligned with company growth and field operations
  • Serve as an internal consultant for new tools and systems that improve efficiency and security
  • Configure and maintain servers, networking, Wi-Fi, and VPN
  • Manage Microsoft 365, cloud storage, and user accounts
  • Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and data protection
  • Deploy and track laptops, tablets and field devices
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues independently
  • Implement and monitor multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, and access controls
  • Respond to and document security incidents
  • Conduct periodic user security awareness training
  • Administer and support systems such as Microsoft, Bluebeam, AGTEK, HCSS and Fleet Tracking System
  • Coordinate integrations and ensure data accuracy between platforms
  • Serve as primary Help Desk contact
  • Provide on-site and remote IT training for in office and field staff

Requirements

  • 7+ years progressive IT experience
  • Proven success in a hands-on, IT generalist role with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Experience managing networks, servers, and cloud services
  • Strong cybersecurity knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
  • Experience providing IT support and hands-on training
  • Strong knowledge in IT systems and implementation
  • Experience working within a construction environment preferred
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related experience

  • Ability to communicate in English with co-workers, clients and the general public

Physical Demands

  • Working on-site in office environments including sitting for extended periods of time and looking at computer screens
  • Occasional standing and walking on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to lift/carry equipment parts or materials up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Office based with periodic travel to construction job sites
  • Occasional after-hours maintenance or emergency support

Pay

$85,000 – $110,000
