About the role

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II is responsible for ensuring that all systems and networks are secure and compliant with relevant regulations. This position requires a current security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments
• Respond to security incidents and breaches
• Train and educate employees on security best practices
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry security standards

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• A current Top Secret clearance
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• Experience with risk management frameworks like COBIT or ISO 27001
• Experience with cloud security and compliance
• Experience with regulatory compliance, such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, or FISMA
