About the role
The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for ensuring that all systems and networks are secure and compliant with federal regulations. This position requires a current security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits
- Respond to security incidents and breaches
- Train and educate staff on security best practices
- Ensure compliance with government and industry security standards
Requirements
- Current Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
- Experience with security protocols such as NIST, ISO, and FedRAMP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like CIS Controls, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and COBIT
- Experience with risk management processes and methodologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and network security
- Experience with security policy development and implementation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
