About the role

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for ensuring that all systems and networks are secure and compliant with federal regulations. This position requires a current security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits
• Respond to security incidents and breaches
• Train and educate staff on security best practices
• Ensure compliance with government and industry security standards

Requirements

• Current Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
• Experience with security protocols such as NIST, ISO, and FedRAMP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection systems
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like CIS Controls, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and COBIT
• Experience with risk management processes and methodologies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and network security
• Experience with security policy development and implementation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
