About the role

The Provider Applications Educator works under the direction of the Clinical Systems Supervisor / Senior Analyst, and is primarily responsible for training medical staff on the use of clinical systems. This role ensures that medical staff providers are confident and proficient in navigating the EHR through training, consistent rounding with the providers, and follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Train medical staff on the use of clinical systems.
  • Ensure medical staff providers are confident and proficient in navigating the EHR.
  • Facilitate provider and student onboarding by working occasional early mornings or late afternoons/evenings as needed.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.

Requirements

  • Analytical, customer service, and communication skills (including phone and email etiquette).
  • Advanced computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel, and the ability to troubleshoot computer applications that may be unfamiliar.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users in a clear, supportive manner.
  • Ability to adapt training style to meet the needs of different learners.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years office management and/or project management experience; other applicable experience will be considered.
  • 1 year of acute hospital experience or ambulatory clinic experience, preferred.
  • Experience with working with nurses, medical providers, and physicians, preferred.
