About the role
The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS) at California State University, Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach in the following subject areas: Information System (Management Information Systems / MIS), Statistics / Decision Sciences, Business Analytics, and Data Analytics / Information Technology.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Information System, Statistics, Business Analytics, and Data Analytics / Information Technology.
- Teach graduate-level courses in the M.S. in Information Systems (MSIS) and MBA concentrations in Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Decision Sciences.
- Work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- Interact with and foster a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Use tools appropriate to the teaching area such as SQL/databases, Python or R, Tableau or Power BI, Excel modeling, and/or systems analysis and design.
- Integrate artificial intelligence concepts and hands-on experience with AI tools responsibly into instruction.
- Support the College’s AACSB accreditation by demonstrating professional currency, certifications, and scholarly activity.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Operations Research, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Sciences or related field from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent.
- Relevant experience in a related quantitative or computational field.
- Demonstrated competency with the tools used in our courses appropriate to the teaching area.
- Significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and hands-on experience with AI tools.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in a related field.
- Preference given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Preference given to those with relevant performance and professional experience.
Skills
- Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students.
- Experience in a related quantitative or computational field.
- Competency with the tools used in our courses appropriate to the teaching area.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and hands-on experience with AI tools.
