Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - TS Clearance

About the role

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for ensuring the security of sensitive information within the organization. This role requires a TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
• Respond to security incidents and ensure timely reporting to management.
• Collaborate with IT staff to enhance system security and protect against cyber threats.

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience in information security, preferably in a government or defense sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
• Experience with security tools and technologies like SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with cloud-based security solutions.
