Information Review and Release Analyst - Full Performance
About the role
The Information Review and Release Analyst oversees the declassification process for litigation cases, adhering to EO 13526, FOIA, PA, and EOMDR. This role involves organizing documents, conducting research, analyzing results, and making decisions regarding document release.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the declassification process for litigation cases
- Record the chronological order of events from beginning to end
- Organize documents for legal counsel review with accuracy
- Act as a liaison for OGA involved in the process
- Conduct desktop research and analyze results
- Determine relevance of new searches or previous declassification/release decisions
- Provide rationale for redaction actions and recommendations for document release
- Manage the referral process for OGA equities requiring external referral
- Determine if a record requires non-routine handling and assign items to proper equity holders
Requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Active Top Secret security clearance and Polygraph
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, team experience
- Knowledge of FOIA, PA, EOMDR, and EO 13526
- Legal terminology knowledge, especially in areas like police enforcement, security, or court systems
- Strong work ethic, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency in online tools such as Word, Excel, and Access, and other required systems
- Strong multitasking ability, adaptability, and flexibility
