Infection Preventionist Coordinator RN

About the role

Responsibilities

• Ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by providing education to staff and assisting with the development, implementation and enforcement of infection control policies and procedures.
• Identify, control, and prevent outbreaks of infection in the facility.
• Collect and analyze infection control data.
• Act as an infection control resource for employees, residents, and their family members.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or related field.
• An unencumbered State of South Dakota Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
• C.P.R. Certification.
• Five (5) years of experience as a R.N.
• One (1) year of experience in an infection control position (preference given).
