Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Shodair’s Infection Prevention and Control Program
  • Set annual goals, action plans, and surveillance activities
  • Monitor HAIs, communicable diseases, and outbreak risks
  • Conduct rounds, audits, investigations, and required reporting
  • Oversee antibiotic stewardship and regulatory compliance
  • Provide education and consultation to staff and leadership
  • Career Development
  • Coordinate employee health and occupational health services
  • Manage exposure assessments, follow-up, immunizations, and screenings
  • Track workplace injury and illness trends and prevention efforts
  • Support return-to-work and workers’ compensation processes with HR
  • Apply work restrictions and maintain employee health confidentiality
  • Quality, Safety & Regulatory Support
  • Support quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • Aid in data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Help maintain readiness for Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and public health requirements
  • Participate in relevant committees and corrective action planning
  • Support emergency preparedness for infectious disease response

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of infection control or healthcare nursing experience

Certifications & Licensure

  • Active Montana RN license in good standing
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required within three (3) years of hire and/or
  • Certified Professional in Patient Safety certification required within three (3) years of hire
  • CPI and Ukeru audit completion required within 3 months of hire (ongoing certification may be required)

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of CDC, OSHA, CMS, and accreditation requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret trends and make data-driven recommendations

Pay

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time position.
