Infection Prevention Coordinator
Job Summary
This is a Full Time Day shift position. Hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination of all aspects of the facility infection prevention and control program.
- Be directly involved with activities directed toward prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections.
- Serve as an infection prevention and control consultant for facility staff, patients, and the community.
- Interact with physicians, outside agencies, corporate/divisional staff as well as all departments within the facility.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional healthcare related field.
- Minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care hospital required.
- 1-2 years experience in Infection Prevention and Control, preferred.
- Certification by the National Certification Board of Infection Control and Applied Epidemiology preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in both written and verbal format.
- Strong computer skills.
