About the role
The Infection Control Epidemiologist (ICE) II supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Infection Prevention Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and affiliated areas.
Responsibilities
- Monitor infection trends and support compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Drive initiatives that improve patient safety and quality of care.
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to advance evidence-based infection prevention practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience required.
- Relevant experience may include Infection Control, Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Health Education, or Public Health.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
- Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field preferred.
Skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, operational, and academic partners.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to implement infection prevention policies and lead performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
