Infection Control Epidemiologist

About the role

The Infection Control Epidemiologist (ICE) II supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Infection Prevention Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and affiliated areas.

Responsibilities

• Monitor infection trends and support compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Drive initiatives that improve patient safety and quality of care.
• Partner with clinical and operational teams to advance evidence-based infection prevention practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience required.
• Relevant experience may include Infection Control, Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Health Education, or Public Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field preferred.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, operational, and academic partners.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to implement infection prevention policies and lead performance improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
