Responsibilities

  • Run reports, queries, and analyses in Microsoft SQL, REDCap, SAS, R, Power BI or other statistical or data visualization programs and prepare reporting metrics for data completeness, logic checks and reporting
  • Review reports for quality and completeness quarterly and inform jurisdictions of any discrepancies
  • Conduct quality control for surveillance systems and provide reports to jurisdictions
  • Maintain data entry completeness and quality for surveillance systems
  • Recommend changes to database structure and processing and send to COR and CDC Technical Team
  • Maintain a data dictionary for all data files used to create reports, provide to CDC project team on a quarterly basis
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for reporting and quality assurance of the data process, including orientation or training of new staff
  • Conduct analyses and write reports for dissemination in peer-reviewed journals and MMWR
  • Provide background information, answer questions, provide updates to stakeholders, including partners and jurisdictions, about the surveillance system via phone calls, emails, and meetings
  • Be prepared to travel and attend an in-person meeting and participate in at least 2-3 site visits at least once a year to a funded jurisdiction. Site visit dates and locations may vary
  • Be prepared to attend a conference (to be determined) at least twice a year. Annual conference dates and locations may vary

Requirements

Minimum of a master’s degree in their field
