About the role
The GE Appliances Industry 4.0 Technical Development Program is an immersive two-year program designed for aspiring engineers interested in advancing their careers in manufacturing and operations. Based in Louisville, KY, this program offers four six-month rotational assignments in advanced supply chain engineering, including controls automation, robotics, test systems, and factory simulation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leaders to achieve rotation goals and objectives
- Experience a dynamic hands-on manufacturing environment
- Identify and implement technical and process improvements
- Participate in project ideation, development, and execution
- Demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills and autonomy
- Lead cross-functional teams, influencing various business levels
- Engage in regular feedback sessions and diverse training programs
Requirements
- Must have completed or be on track to complete a bachelor's and/or master's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or a related field) by December 2026
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, at time of graduation
- Prior relevant work experience or internship/co-op
- Algorithm prototyping and coding skills
- Familiarity with industrial controls, preferably Allen Bradley
- Familiarity with industrial robots, preferably Fanuc
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical controls design and troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with vision technologies
