Industrial Welder- 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a full-time Industrial Welder for the 2nd shift with core hours of 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate is $22.71/hour plus a $1.20/hour shift differential. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market considerations.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot all welding equipment
• Identify and tag shop orders with the product
• Retrieve and enter data into the system
• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts
• Maintain components and supplies for efficient operation
• Weld components based on print specifications
• Perform 5S and Continuous Improvement activities

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year TIG and MIG welding experience
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Must reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX (no relocation benefit offered; Active Duty Military Service members exempt)
• Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning abilities
• Working knowledge of TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and/or aluminum
• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs occasionally by stooping, reaching, and bending
• Ability to stand for eight hours or more and perform repetitious tasks
• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team assembling products or components
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed
• Must wear required PPE: safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high-noise areas)

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Weld Certified
• Minimum of 2-3 years TIG/MIG welding experience
• Minimum of one (1) year experience utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and simple measuring tools
• Basic computer skills
