Industrial Technology Adjunct

About the role

Eastern Shore Community College serves the residents of Accomack County and Northampton County as a two-year institution of higher learning. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Effectively plan and teach courses in a classroom environment
• Work cooperatively with other staff members
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably an Associate degree or equivalent
• Five years of current occupational experience
• Demonstrates potential in teaching effectiveness
• Skilled in oral and written communications

Skills

• Sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources

Additional Considerations

• Industrial Technology experience
• Teaching experience
• Knowledge of, and experience with, proven teaching strategies that promote student success

Pay

$819-$1,348 per credit hour, based on academic credentials and occupational experience as evaluated via the VCCS-10 process.
